Induction Day Programme

The Scottish Parliament & Business Exchange (SPBE) arranged an Induction day programme for MSPs Claire Baker and Margaret Smith at the newly opened campus in Edinburgh .

The day was hosted by Principal and Chief Executive Howard McKenzie and covered areas such as the management of a large build public sector project, the response of colleges to business needs and to demonstrate how a new building can influence curriculum.

Margaret Smith MSP commented “the visit was very valuable. I'm keen to learn more about college relationships with other educational establishments and the Scottish Funding Council.”

Follow up activity is planned to look at areas such as what courses are offered and why and what graduates do on conclusion.
