Board Biography – Bill Thomson

Appointed a Director of SPBE on 22 October 2007 .

Bill Thomson is Director of Access and Information at the Scottish Parliament, with overall responsibility for three of the Parliament's offices: the research and information service; the public affairs group, which includes education and outreach, visitor services, broadcasting, media relations, external liaison, corporate publications and events and exhibitions; and the security office.  He has been with the Parliament since 1999, initially as Head of the Chamber Office and then as Director of Clerking and Reporting. 

Bill is qualified as a solicitor, and has held a number of professional and managerial roles in the public and private sectors.
