Board Biography – Alasdair Macnab
Appointed a Director of SPBE on 9 November 2005 .
Alasdair Macnab is the Director of Corporate Services of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and has responsibilities for accountancy and finance, human resource management, information and communications technology services, estates and facilities management including major capital projects such as the Gateway, commercial activities, and executive supervision of the Botanics Trading Company.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and serves on their Disciplinary Committee and the Research Advisory Group. Currently, he is undertaking research into strategy and performance management on behalf of CIMA at the same time as studying for a PhD in management at the University of Edinburgh .
